What to Expect
Uptown is the place where children discover Christ’s love for them at Crosswinds. Each Sunday it is our desire to show kids how they fit into God’s big story and encourage them to change the world by living out the character of Christ. We strongly encourage family participation with at-home activities to help continue the lessons that are taught on Sundays all week long.
Uptown services take place on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am and 11:00 am, and are designed for children 8 weeks through 5th grade. While parents are participating in the adult worship service in “Big Church”, children participate in kid-friendly services in Uptown. Each child from preschool – 5th grade will have a a large group & small group experience every Sunday.
Large group time consists of interactive worship, a Bible story told by engaging storytellers & comic hosts, and prayer time.
Small group time is lead by individual small group leaders for each age group. This time is for digging deeper into the lesson through activities and games, while encouraging relationship building with friends and leaders.
(Children’s programming is not offered during Saturday evening services at Crosswinds.)
The first Sunday of each month (October – June), following each of our regular Sunday morning services at 10:15am & 12:15pm, parents are invited to bring their Preschool-5th Grade children to the FamX Theater (3-5 room)! As part of the FamX service, families will worship, pray and hopefully grow closer to God together. Attending FamX is a great opportunity for your family to partner with church by investing in the spiritual formation of your children. Parents/Guardians must be present, as FamX is a “no drop-off” zone.
