Caring Ministries

Extending the love of Christ and walking alongside those within our church who are in need
of care either emotionally, physically, or spiritually.

Caring Ministries is in place to minister to and help meet the needs of members and regular attendees of Crosswinds. 

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of
all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so
that we can comfort those in any trouble with the
comfort we ourselves have received from God.."
2 Corinthians 1:4

Counseling

Will provide short-term pastoral care, and will
assist with referrals and for counseling
scholarships to trained and qualified Christian Counselors.

Visitation Team Ministries

The Visitation Team ministry is an extension
of and works alongside the church pastoral staff.

The Visitation Team ministry exists to bring the love and compassion of Jesus Christ into the lives of Crosswinds family members who are in need of visitation (i.e. hospitalized, going through surgical procedures, shut in at home or in extended care facilities, etc.) through personal or telephone visitation. The purpose of their visitation is to offer prayer, comfort, compassion and kindness to those going through difficult or challenging times in their lives.

Celebrate Recovery

Every Friday Night! Celebrate Recovery is a
Christ Centered 12 Step Recovery Program
Based on the 8 Principles in the Beatitudes to
help us with our hurts, habits, and hang-ups...More

The Barnabas Group

A letter writing ministry of encouragement,
prayer and witnessing to those who are
facing life's trials and struggles.

Special thanks to "The Ladybugs" for supplying
the beautiful cards used in this ministry.

Caring Cooks

The Caring Cooks Ministry exists to provide emergency meals to families in crises situations. Food is prepared by ministry volunteers and delivered to the homes where family members
are facing hospitalization or surgery, long term illness, the birth of a baby, or any other urgent
and challenging life situation.

Divorce Care
Next 13 wk session starts June 3

The Divorce Care program takes a biblical
approach to divorce, separation, and related
issues and how they affect the family. This is
a support program of 13 or more weeks
that provides a safe place for those who
are separated or divorced to study, using a
video and workbook, and discuss situations
with others in confidence.

Emergency Benevolence Fund

Provides emergency short-term financial support
for members and regular attendees of
Crosswinds who are in crisis and who qualify
for financial assistance.

GriefShare Ministry

The GriefShare Ministry is a special weekly seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. This is a non- denominational program that features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. Two fifteen-week sessions meet each year; the 1st starts in September, the 2nd starts in February.

Prayer

The power of prayer can be realized through Prayer Partners & Prayer Chain. Our prayer Partners provide prayer support and encouragement to leaders in different areas of ministry and leadership in our church. The Prayer Chain exists to pray for
the church family. Each person is requested to pass along requests immediately
and confidentially.
