Our caring and compassionate volunteers will also meet one-on-one with clients, engage in meaningful conversation, encourage and pray for clients, and help connect them with additional services and agencies that are able to meet other tangible needs.
Family Resource Center
Parenting classes at the Family Resource Center are designed to meet the needs of both women and men as they work through the issues of raising children. Through our “Earn While You Learn” program, parents will watch and discuss video workshops and complete homework assignments. In these one-hour peer counseling sessions, we will discuss individual situations and identify areas where additional guidance and education will most benefit families. There are four Parenting Programs available:
- Pregnancy Classes
- Newborn Classes
- Parenting Works!
- Boundaries with Kids
Our Baby Boutique is filled with new and gently used clothing [sizes Newborn through 2T] and other accessories for children, including diapers, wipes, bottles, blankets, etc. Parents can earn up to $10 in ‘Mommy or Daddy Bucks’ per parenting class in the Family Resource Center, and redeem their earnings in the Baby Boutique and/or receive shopping vouchers to help provide for the needs of their infants and toddlers.
All sessions are free and confidential!
