The Barnabas Ministry is a letter-writing ministry of encouragement and prayer for those who are facing trials and struggles. This ministry includes “Letters from Home” for our men and women serving in the military. A special thanks to the Ladybug Card Ministry and Ontario ARC for supplying the cards used in this ministry of hope. If you are interested in volunteering in the Barnabas Ministry, it is a great opportunity that can be done from home. For more information, please email Jess French HERE.
Caregivers Support Group
The Caregivers Support Group ministers to those who are the primary caregivers of loved ones who have become unable to care for themselves. The group meets monthly at Crosswinds, where caregivers are encouraged and prayed for, forming a community of healing and support. For more information, please contact Dodie Baker at (585) 554-6728.
Pastors on staff are available for short-term counseling sessions according to need for those experiencing difficulty in life, both spiritually and relationally.
DivorceCare is held weekly and offers a biblical approach for those going through the pain of separation or divorce. The 13-week program addresses related issues and helps develop strategies to move forward using video, workbook, and discussion groups in a safe, confidential community. For more information, visit DivorceCare.org or email Alona Redden HERE.
Our Grief Support Group is taking a break. We’ll let you know when one begins again. In the meantime, if you’re struggling with grief and would like the Prayer Team to pray for you, please submit a prayer request. Or if you’d like to speak with a pastor, please call the church office at (585) 394-5857.
The Visitation Ministry is an extension of the Prayer Team, and brings the love and compassion of Jesus Christ into the lives of Crosswinds family members who are in need of connection when they can’t make it to church due to hospitalization or illness.
Sharing & Caring
The Sharing & Caring Ministry exists through God’s faithfulness and the generosity of our congregation. It is an offering not only of the ministries listed above, but of a benevolence fund overseen by our Sharing & Caring Team and confidentially provided to those who call Crosswinds their church home. If you have a need, you may submit your request by completing the form below. The Sharing & Caring Team meets once a month to review submitted applications, so if your need is urgent, please submit your request and then call the church office at (585) 394-5857.
