Wings Christian Preschool

Wings Christian Preschool is a ministry of Crosswinds for parents & families in the greater Canandaigua area. Wings provides a quality learning experience for young children socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

At Wings we believe a child best learns by discovery. Your child will get many opportunities each day to discover new things. We encourage "Hands On" activities daily.

Wings Preschool generally follows the Canandaigua School district calendar, (re: holidays, snow days, etc...)

Programs

Preschool - 3 and 4 year olds may come 2 mornings a week. Four different classes give parents a choice of both days and times to enroll their child.

Little Wings is a program for two year olds and a parent or caregiver. This activity time is designed to promote socialization and cooperation within a group setting This class is a scaled down version of the older preschool class.

Friday Class is a more intensive program for children attending Kindergarten next year. Here you will find in-depth discussions, projects, and student authored & illustrated books.

Five Day Class students follow the morning schedule on Tues/Thurs and Fri afternoons with a maximum class size of 12. On Mon & Wed afternoons these students are divided into smaller groups with a teacher/student ratio of approximately 1:3. These afternoon classes focus on math and pre-reading activities.

Daily Preschool Schedule

(varies depending on day)

• Centers/Projects 45 minutes
• Circle Time - Pledge, Prayer, Feely Box, Story, Animal Diaries 45 minutes
• Projects 30 minutes
• Snack 15 minutes
• Songs, Finger Plays, Bible Story 15 minutes
• Large Motor Room/Outside 15 minutes

Two Year Curriculum

The two year curriculum provides different units each year for those students with us for 2 years.
