Sierra Leone - Child Sponsorship through World Hope International

What You Can Do...

First, ask the Lord if you should partner financially in this way and if so, what He would want you to commit to in faith.
Second,How to Sponsor a Child in Sierra Leone through World Hope International:

  1. Call Leanne Gormong at World Hope (888) 466-4673, ext 108.

  2. Tell her you would like to sponsor a child in Sierra Leone, West Africa and that you would like that child to be in the Freetown – Makenie – Kamakwie corridor if at all possible.

  3. The reason for this is so that when a team goes out to Sierra Leone from our church, the team members can visit the sponsored children on your behalf and give them a care package from you.

  4. You can work the payment details out with her.

Once you have received your child’s name and information, please let us know.  We would like to  have sponsor get-togethers and we would like to attempt to contact your sponsored child when our teams travel to Sierra Leone.

Background

World Hope International, the relief organization of the Wesleyan Church, has recognized the vast need of children around the world to receive help with education, nutrition, personal hygiene, and clothing for children who may have lost one or both parents to war and disease.
World Hope International has identified many children in Sierra Leone that need help, and we believe that this is one way that we can make a difference, not only in the lives of each of these children, but also in the lives of those caring for these children.
The reason we recommend sponsoring children in Sierra Leone is because we hope to occasionally
send teams there who might also be able to visit these children to be further encouragement to them.

For just $30 each month, you can sponsor a child.  The general commitment is to continue sponsorship, paying that amount until the child is 18.  For those who cannot make that commitment, funds are also needed to help pay for children whose sponsors were unable to maintain their commitment.  That could be as small as a one-time payment.
