Family Resource Center

The Family Resource Center is designed to meet the needs of both men and women as they work through the issues of child raising.

Through our Family “Earn While You Learn” program, parents and children will watch and discuss video workshops and complete homework assignments. In these one-hour peer counseling sessions, we will discuss individual situations and identify areas where additional guidance and education will benefit families the most. As we study, moms and dads will earn ‘Mommy/ Daddy Bucks’, which can be redeemed in our Baby Boutique or for shopping vouchers.

All sessions are free and confidential.

Pre-school children's topics covered include:

• Bedlam at Bedtime

• Family Ties

• Television: On or Off

• Safe and Sound

• Siblings

• Misbehaving in Public

• Food, Glorious Food

• Babysitting

Food Pantry

Our food pantry provides non-perishable food, paper products and personal items to eligible residents in need in Canandaigua and surrounding communities. Clients get to chose from a list regarding the items they need. Households can access the food pantry once a month. Only proof of address is required.

Lending Library

The Lending Library provides books offering hope and encouragement for those who are struggling with various challenges in life.
